The APS Diverse Supplier Training Program (DSTP) is a business mentoring program designed, sponsored and administered by Arizona Public Service at no cost to participants.
To adapt to challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Diverse Supplier Training Program is transitioning to a virtual format consisting of 10 two-hour meetings conducted via the Microsoft Teams video-conferencing platform.
These meetings will include roundtable discussions, guest speakers, videos, and challenge attendees to take their business to the next level.
Participants are expected to attend all 10 sessions. Learning outcomes include:
- Understand APS supplier fundamentals
- Build a business growth strategy
- Make connections within APS and DSTP peers.
The next program will begin in September. Space is limited. To apply, complete the attached application and email it to Dale Halm at firstname.lastname@example.org by July 15.
To be eligible for the program, participants must be a certified or certifiable diverse business enterprise (a company at least 51 percent owned and controlled by an individual whose business is defined as Minority Business Enterprises, Woman Business Enterprise or Veteran-Owned, Small Business. Eligible participants must provide a product or service that a utility can reasonably be expected to use, and should be the majority business owner or significant decision maker.
