Al Henderson, Salt clan born for the Many Hogans People. He currently provides volunteer service as the secretary/treasurer of the Dineh Chamber of Commerce, taught business and economics courses at the University of New Mexico Gallup campus and currently at Dine College, and is owner of AHEC the business he formed in April 1982 to provide oil and gas wells services, waste management services and professional advisory services in business, economics and higher education. Served as Tribal Liaison at Northern Arizona University to work with tribes, tribal organizations and communities across Arizona and the southwest. Twice served as executive director of the Navajo Nation economic development division in the 1980s. Mr. Henderson received his M.A. in economics from the University of New Mexico and B.A. from Eastern New Mexico University. In 2007 he received the Native American Community Scholars award from the Smithsonian Institution to conduct archival economics research in Washington, D.C.
